Israeli filmmakers express their views on politics and social situation. Some of them use dramatic narrative tone, while others employ irony or even humour. But what’s indisputable is that Israeli films are regularly presented at the most prestigious film festivals around the globe. This territory and its film image remain at the centre of world attention. The section will introduce eight films including Sameh Zoabi’s Tel Aviv on Fire (2018) or Michal Aviad’s Working Woman (2018).
